Tony founded his company TATran Corp in 2014 when he and his business partner started providing structural engineering services for Metro Manufacturing Inc in Saint Paul, Minnesota.  Later, Tony extended his works to several steel fabricators, various homeowners and contractors in the Twin Cities metro area.

From 2018 to 2021, Tony served as a Senior Forensic Structural Engineer for EFI Global Inc, part of the Sedgwick family of companies.  He performed hundreds of property damage inspections and testified as an expert witness for the majority of property insurance carriers in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa and South Dakota.

Tony earned his Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering in 2003 from Hanoi Architectural University and Master's degree in Structural and Earthquake Engineering in 2006 from The State University of New York at Buffalo.  Besides holding P.E. licenses in the previously mentioned states, Tony also holds a California P.E. license and an Advanced Roofing Certification.

Tony regularly does stretching and conditioning exercises at Minneapolis Gymnastics with friends and surrounding neighbors.  He also volunteers twice a week for the local Community Kitchen's charity works.
